Lauren Allen, a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, will receive a $1,000 General Scholarship. Lauren will attend the University of South Carolina, where she plans to major in biochemistry. Lauren is the daughter of Ed and Elena Allen.

-Michael Backus, a graduate of Abingdon High School, will receive a $2,500 Engineering Scholarship. He will attend Virginia Tech, where he plans to major in mechanical engineering. Michael is the son of Alan and Kathy Backus.






Shana Bauserman, a graduate of Abingdon High School, will receive a $1,500 Sons & Daughters Scholarship and $1,000 General Scholarship. She will attend Brigham Young University, where she plans to major in wildlife conservation. Shana is the daughter of Jeff and Laurel Bauserman.


Ryan Blanchard
, a graduate of Abingdon High School, will receive a $2,500 Engineering Scholarship. He will attend Virginia Tech, where he plans to major in mechanical engineering. Ryan is the son of Bill and Leslie Blanchard.







Cory Dagenhart

He will attend Northeast State Technical Community College, where he plans to major in welding/metal fabrication. Cory is the son of Pam Dagenhart of Kingsport, Tenn., and Chris Dagenhart of Johnson City, Tenn.

, a graduate of Abingdon High School, will receive a $2,500 Engineering Scholarship. He will attend Virginia Tech, where he plans to major in mechanical engineering. Emory is the son of Philip and Linda Ernst.

Emily Farris, a graduate of Abingdon High School, will receive a $1,000 Career & Technical Scholarship. She will attend Virginia Highlands Community College, where she plans to major in general education. Emily is the daughter of David and Sonya Farris.

Matthew Givens, a graduate of Abingdon High School, will receive a $2,500 Engineering Scholarship. He will attend Virginia Tech, where he plans to major in general engineering. Matthew is the son of Steve and Anita Givens.






Raven Marin
